Port City Ballet Company
Our Vision
We are building Nova Scotia’s first professional ballet company comprised and lead by Nova Scotians for Nova Scotians. The company will provide a space for artistry, inclusion, and regional pride. Our vision is to elevate the arts while cultivating deep community roots through world class performances, education, and community engagement, allowing our homegrown artists the opportunity to stay here at home and share their expertise province wide while earning a living. The company will include students in training in all productions offering world class opportunities and experience right here in NS.

Why Ballet? Why Us?

Interest in ballet continues to grow across Nova Scotia. Symphony Nova Scotia’s Nutcracker consistently sells out each season, and Ballet Jörgen’s performances at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium and regional theatres regularly play to full houses.
Your support positions you as a leader in developing the first professional ballet company of its kind in Nova Scotia — a transformative investment in the province’s cultural landscape.
By partnering with us, you are contributing to a platform that champions youth mentorship and arts education, with a special focus on rural and underserved communities.
Supporting our seasonal productions, such as The Nutcracker, engages large, family-friendly audiences and strengthens community connection through the performing arts.
Most importantly, your support provides opportunities for local young dancers to share the stage with professionals, fostering pathways for emerging talent to grow into future company members.
